LAMB ISLAND
Lamb Island is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, and for many years it was known by its Aboriginal name "Ngudooroo" which means "paper bark trees".
There is an abundance of these trees opposite the dam on the island. Lamb Island measures only two kilometres by one kilometre at the narrowest end. A walk around the island is an experience in natural beauty of the environment.
There is an abundance of fish in the waters around Lamb Island.
Walk along the foreshore into the rainforest and marvel at nature's abundance. Towards the northern end of the island on the eastern side there is a swimming enclosure.
The local kiosk provides food, supplies, fuel, ice and souvenirs.
